So far, Kristen Singh’s life has been a series of happy coincidences and good fortune mixed with hard work and determination. And she credits much of it to the places she’s lived and the people she’s met along the way.

Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, she has many fond memories including seeing her favorite singer —Tom Petty — perform in her hometown. She’s loved his music since she was a little girl and it was, in her words, “the best concert ever.” (#FreeFalling)

Attending Buffalo State College was an auspicious choice. A degree in business wasn’t for her so she turned toward what really made her light up: fine arts and art history. Her parents (a fine artist and an historian!) encouraged her to find a way to combine her talent for sales within the art world…which led to a study abroad program in India (life-changing!)…which led to a job offer in D.C. as a fine art insurance broker.

And it was in DC where she fell in love and married a man who just happens to be from India. Together, they’re raising their kids in Maryland and she cherishes time with them and with friends, knowing those are the moments that matter most. She’s active in the PTA. Her favorite movie is Steel Magnolias. And her hobby is cleaning and organizing! And her bucket list is pretty heartwarming. More than anything, she wants her kids to be able to attend college debt-free.

Kristen says a move to the Speicher Group just felt…right. She’s seen lots of unkind and hostile agents. But the culture at Speicher Group is different, she says. “Chris and Peggy Lyn were uplifting and encouraging from our very first meeting. They actually want ALL of the team to succeed. I like that.”
