If you ran a DNA test on Todd Werling you’d discover equal parts military, farmer, and dog-lover in his blood. A self-described Navy brat, he was born in Cuba, graduated high school in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to Maryland shortly after. He follows the Ravens and the Capitols and loves to watch a game while sitting outside by his fire pit waving to his neighbors.

Life as a military kid instilled a strong sense of responsibility (he had to pack and unpack his own stuff for every move) as well as a deep appreciation, respect, and admiration for military service members. He works with all kinds of clients, but he holds a special place for veterans, active servicemen and women, and first responders.

Favorite vacation? Amsterdam. To wander the walkable city and take in the museums and architecture was a dream. He loves seafood and hopes to visit Maine someday for the freshest lobster. And he says he’s a bit of a connoisseur of music because he loves it all — the rat pack crooners, country music, new wave sounds, and hair metal bands of the 80s.

Todd also has a 65-acre farm in Missouri that’s been in his family for more than a century. To walk on the same land that was farmed by his grandfather and passed down to his mother and now to him, connects him to his past and roots him to the present in such a meaningful way. And speaking of meaningful, he and his family are big dog people (literally and figuratively). Their 140lb French Mastiff is named R.E.D. for two reasons — he had a red collar when they first got him as a puppy. And, the letters stand for “Remember Everyone Deployed.” Thanks to Todd and his family for their service.
