Olney Days 2012 in Olney, MD will take place on May 18th, 19th and 20th.
On Friday, May 18th, Olney Days 2012 kicks off from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the first annual Olney’s Idol contest at the Olney Theatre.
Saturday, May 19th, kicks off at 7:00 AM with Joe’s Ride and Stride remembering Olney’s kids. Here is more information about Joe’s Ride and Stride. This event usually lasts until 11:00 AM.
In the afternoon, there are several events planned. From free shredding to a fun fair with rides, eating contests and bands. Then, at dusk, there will be fireworks!
Sunday, May 20th, kicks off at 10:00 AM with the Olney Days car and truck show at Fletcher’s Service Center. Then, at 2:00 PM, the 29th annual Olney Days parade runs down Georgia Avenue between Prince Phillip Dive and Spartan Road.
In the later-afternoon, beginning at 4:00 PM, Olney Days Rock the Lot block party kicks off in the Rocketeria parking lot at 18120 Hillcrest Avenue. This usually runs until 8:00 PM.
