Real Estate’s The Speicher Team Leads Thanksgiving Turkey Donation
(Olney, MD – November 20, 2012) – In keeping with the giving spirit this holiday season, friends and neighbors in Olney, MD, like The Speicher Team at RE/MAX Realty Centre, Inc., are reaching out to those in need. The team of professional real estate agents donated a host of turkeys to help stock the local food bank, the Manna Food Center, which feeds a huge population during the holiday season.
“There’s certainly a need throughout the year, but it’s so important that we give during the holiday season to keep our community fed and warm, and to keep spirits high,” said Chris Speicher of The Speicher Team. “Our agents live and work in this community and like most of us, feel blessed. We hope to show our appreciation by donating to Manna Food Center.”
One of The Speicher Team’s members, Kim Damion, was the former Executive Director of Manna and organized the donation knowing what a difference the turkeys can make.
“Manna Food Center wouldn’t survive without generous donations from people like The Speicher Team. It’s so critical to helping our community celebrate the holidays,” said Damion.
Manna Food Center is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to eliminate hunger in Montgomery County. The Center is the main food bank in the County and is still collecting turkeys this season and donations year-round.
